DonnellyWith her first novel for teen readers, Jennifer Donnelly achieved the distinction of being only the second American author to win Great Britain's prestigious Carnegie Medal for children's literature. Donnelly's A Northern Light: published in England as A Gathering Light: followed her first adult novel, a historical romance titled The Tea Rose, and the picture book Humble Pie, in which Donnelly and noted illustrator Stephen Gammell team up to tell the story of how spoiled-rotten Theo crosses his grandmother and receives his just desserts. At this event, Donnelly will discuss her latest novel for teens - Revolution, which artfully weaves two girls’ stories into one unforgettable account of life, loss, and enduring love, spanning centuries and vividly depicting the eternal struggles of the human heart.

Maya Gold grew up in New Jersey, and now lives in upstate New York with her fashion–forward teenage daughter, now a college student, and a very friendly dog. Maya writes books and magazine articles, and in her spare time,  teaches, coaches a high school drama club. The immensly popular Cinderella Cleaners was her first series for young readers. At this event she will talk about her new book Spellbinding, in which Abby Silva--sixteen and nearly friendless--makes a startling discovery: She is descended from women who were accused of witchcraft back in 1600s Salem.

Kim SabatiniKimberly Sabatini is a former Special Education Teacher who is now a stay-at-home mom and a part-time dance instructor for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. After her dad passed away in 2005, she used writing as a way to make sense of the experience and discovered that she’s full of questions that need to be answered. She lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with her husband and three boys. Kimberly writes Young Adult fiction. This event will mark the launch of her forthcoming, lyrical, paranormal novel, Touching The Surface, in which When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time, and knows she must have messed up, big-time. She doesn’t remember how she landed in the afterlife again, but knows it's her last chance to get things right.
