Return Policy

Items Purchased at the Bookstore

Items must be in saleable condition, and returns must be accompanied by the original receipt. If you return an item within fifteen days, you may request a refund in full, using the method of payment shown on the original receipt. Returns made after fifteen days or without a receipt can be exchanged for store credit only at the discretion of management. Please note we do not accept any returns on discounted items, sale items, or personalized signed books.

For all returns and exchanges, the customer is responsible for costs associated with returning the item(s) to Oblong Books.

Items Purchased on the Website

Oblong Books accepts returns of books within thirty days of purchase. The items must be in saleable condition and must be accompanied by an original receipt, packing slip, or web order confirmation. Personalized signed books are not returnable. Any returns received that do not meet these requirements will be shipped back at the customer’s expense. Refunds will be credited to the credit card used for the original purchase. Shipping costs are refunded only if the return is a result of an Oblong Books error.

Exchanges are accepted under the same conditions. When requesting an exchange, please include a note with the returned item(s) specifying the new item(s) you would like. Your card will be charged or credited for any difference that may result in the exchange. There will be no additional shipping cost.

We recommend, for your protection, that you pack the item(s) securely and return the package using UPS, FedEx, or insured parcel post.

For all returns and exchanges, the customer is responsible for costs associated with returning the item(s) to Oblong Books.

Oblong Books is not responsible for replacing orders that are lost or stolen after delivery; we recommend calling your local post office if your order tracks as "delivered" but has not arrived.
