Little did we think in the spring of 2001 that our plans for retail glory in the gem of the Hudson Valley would be redefined by the events of that September. Nonetheless, our store in Rhinebeck has consistently grown and become a destination, not only for the world of visitors who come here, but for the local community as well.
In Rhinebeck, our store features the same carefully selected stock as our Millerton flagship, but without the 35 year patina. We have a regular schedule of author events, coordinated by the store's manager, Suzanna Hermans, a second generation bookseller and daughter of store founder Dick.
