Kalynn Bayron and the jacket cover for THIS POISON HEART

Kalynn Bayron is the bestselling author of the award-winning YA fantasy Cinderella Is Dead. She is a classically trained vocalist and when she’s not writing you can find her listening to Ella Fitzgerald on loop, attending the theater, watching scary movies, and spending time with her kids. THIS POISON HEART is set on a dilapidated estate in rural New York (...in Rhinebeck!) and is about a girl with a unique and deadly power - she can grow plants from tiny seeds to rich blooms with a single touch.

H.E. Edgmon and the jacket cover for THE WITCH KING

H.E. Edgmon was born in the deep south but has had many homes, dropped out of school to do gay stuff, and is at least a little feral. In both their writing and daily life, they aim to center the voices of Indigenous people, trans people, and survivors of trauma. It is always their goal to make fascists uncomfortable. In THE WITCH KING, the first book in a duology, a trans witch must choose between his heart and his freedom.

Bethany Morrow and the jacket cover for A CHORUS RISES: A Song Below Water

Bethany C. Morrow is an Indie Bestselling author who writes for adult and young adult audiences, in genres ranging from speculative literary to contemporary fantasy to historical. She is the author of Mem; A Song Below Water So Many Beginnings: A Little Women Remix; and the social horror Cherish Farrah; and editor/contributor to the young adult anthology Take the Mic, which was the 2020 ILA Social Justice in Literature award winner. Her work has been chosen as Indies Introduce and Indie Next picks and featured in The LA Times, Forbes, Bustle, Buzzfeed, and more. She is included on USA TODAY's list of 100 Black novelists and fiction writers you should read! Her latest novel A CHORUS RISES (the companion to A Song Below Water) is about Naema Bradshaw, a  beautiful Eloko, once Portland-famous, now infamous, as she navigates a personal and public reckoning. Confronting the limits of her privilege Naema will learn what her magic really is, and who it makes her.
