Peter Blauner is an Edgar-winning, New York Times bestselling author of several novels, including Slow Motion Riot, The Intruder, and Sunrise Highway. His books have been translated into twenty languages. Picture in the Sand is the culmination of two decades of writing and research that took him from Brooklyn to Cairo a half-dozen times.
David Duchovny is an American actor, writer, producer, director, novelist, and singer-songwriter. He is best known for playing FBI Agent Fox Mulder on the television series The X-Files and Hank Moody on the television series Californication, both of which have earned him Golden Globe awards. David earned an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, and also attended Yale University, where he undertook a Master's Degree in English Literature. A keen poet and writer, David's work was well recognized by his peers and teachers while he was in attendance at Yale. He was even nominated for a college prize by the Academy of American Poets for his outstanding work within the literary field. While at Yale, he began commuting to New York to study acting and was soon appearing in off-Broadway plays. In 1987, he abandoned his doctoral studies at Yale to pursue acting full-time. He is the author of the novels Truly Like Lightening, Bucky F*ing Dent, and Holy Cow and, most recently, the novella The Reservoir and co-author, with illustrator Phillip Sevy, of the graphic novel Kepler.
